Terms of Service

1. Who you’re contracting with

These terms govern your use of the HeldJoy website and services. The seller and your contracting service provider is HeldJoy, the registered business operated by Joy Moore (referred to as “HeldJoy,” “we,” or “us”). Contact us at heldjoyconnect@gmail.com.

By continuing to use this website or requesting a service, you agree to these terms. You must have legal capacity to enter this agreement and, if acting for an organisation, authority to bind it.

2. Our services and their limits

HeldJoy offers one-on-one Listening & Personal Growth, Meditation & Mindfulness, and Vegetarian Lifestyle Coaching. These services provide supportive conversation, reflection, relaxation, and general lifestyle education. They do not provide psychotherapy, medical diagnosis or treatment, or emergency support, and no particular outcome is guaranteed.

Joy is not a registered doctor. Vegetarian Lifestyle Coaching is not medical advice and does not replace care from a qualified healthcare professional. Consult an appropriate professional about medical conditions, dietary requirements, or changes that could affect your health. You may pause or stop a practice if it is uncomfortable.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than using this website or waiting for a reply.

3. Prices, payment, and session requests

The prices for the first 30 minutes, in US dollars, are:

• Listening & Personal Growth: $29.99
• Meditation & Mindfulness: $19.99
• Vegetarian Lifestyle Coaching: $44.99

Any additional duration and price must be agreed separately. Applicable taxes and the final amount are displayed at checkout. These are individual session requests, not automatically renewing subscriptions.

You must provide accurate request details and complete secure payment before your request is saved for Joy. Payment saves a paid request; it does not confirm an appointment or reserve a particular time. Joy will reply by email to agree a session time. A time is confirmed only once it has been agreed with Joy.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, taxes, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Your payment method is entered in Paddle’s secure checkout; HeldJoy does not store card details. Test-mode checkouts do not charge real money.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Contact heldjoyconnect@gmail.com to cancel or discuss an agreed session. A $4.99 late-cancellation fee applies if you cancel at or within 24 hours before the agreed session start, including exactly 24 hours beforehand. The late-cancellation fee does not apply to cancellations more than 24 hours before that start time.

Purchase refunds are handled under Paddle’s Refund Policy. To request a refund, visit paddle.net; you may also contact HeldJoy for help identifying your purchase. Nothing in these terms or the late-cancellation provision limits statutory consumer rights or overrides Paddle’s refund handling. These terms do not authorise a separate automatic charge to your payment method.

5. Respectful and lawful use

You must not use the website or services for unlawful activity, fraud, spam, harassment, threats, exploitation, intellectual-property infringement, or interference with security. Do not introduce malware, probe systems without permission, scrape the service, bypass technical limits, or disrupt other users’ access.

Conversations are treated with care, but HeldJoy does not promise legally privileged or absolute confidentiality. Information about unlawful activity may be reported to local authorities as permitted or required by law. Your request includes acknowledgement of this limitation.

6. AI session suggestions

The optional AI session finder provides a general suggestion, not professional advice, a diagnosis, or an appointment confirmation. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for your prompts, verifying outputs, and how you use them; obtain qualified oversight before relying on them for medical, legal, financial, or other regulated advice.

Only submit content you have the right to share. Do not submit illegal content, hateful or abusive content, non-consensual deepfakes, malware, or requests intended to bypass safety controls or jailbreak the model. Avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information about yourself or others.

You retain any rights you have in your inputs. HeldJoy does not claim ownership of your inputs or any rights you may lawfully have in outputs; outputs may not be unique or eligible for intellectual-property protection. You give HeldJoy limited permission to process inputs and outputs to provide the feature. We may filter or refuse outputs, remove or restrict content, and suspend access for misuse.

Rights holders can report infringement to heldjoyconnect@gmail.com, identifying the content and the rights concerned. We may remove or restrict reported material and suspend access for repeated or serious infringement.

7. Intellectual property

HeldJoy retains ownership of its service and intellectual property, including its software, documentation, branding, and original materials; third-party materials remain owned by their respective rights holders. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the website and purchased services for their intended purpose. Do not copy, resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer protected materials except where permitted by law.

You retain ownership of content you provide and grant us only the permission needed to process it to deliver and support your requested service.

8. Availability and responsibility

We aim to provide the service with reasonable care, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Availability may be affected by maintenance, technical problems, or events outside our control. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for using services in a way appropriate to your circumstances.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Where appropriate and safe, we will explain the reason using the contact details you supplied. Ending access does not remove any refund or other rights you have under applicable law or Paddle’s policies.

10. Changes and questions
